I've never heard of it. It's probably because it's a Japanese anime and they don't show them in the US. I wish they did, they're better than most of the cartoons in the US.  |

But why not? Its such a popular anime. Why isn't it translated to English? Its available in Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Spanish, Hindi etc. So why not in English?

I don't know! We don't have Japanese anime in the US. Which sucks because they're better than the new cartoons i've seen in the US.  |

It features a Blue colored Robot cat from the 22nd century, made by Nobita's grandson, brought to Nobita by Nobita's great Grandson. He becomes an expert with robotics when he grows up, and tells his grandson about how, was when he was small, he used to be behind in everything except Cat's Cradle and Shooting. He used to be the best at games like shooting, archery, etc. Then one fine day, a boy, about his age jumps out of his empty drawer, who says he is his great grandson. He tells him that he had come with the help of the time machine Nobita had made for the elementary school Nobita. Then the boy brings out Doraemon. He says that his great grandfather had told his dad to make him (Doraemon) and his dad sent him to give him to Nobita. Doraemon has all sorts of different gadgets in his 4th dimensional pocket (situated on his belly) that 21st century scientists can't even imagine. Doraemon has a younger sister, Dorami (the yellow robot that you can see in the above picture). Nobita's friends include Shizuka (The girl that Nobita has a crush on, but doesn't know that Shizuka too likes him), Suneo, the rich guy, the one in the teal T-Shirt in the above picture and Gian, the bully. Suneo and Gian are good friends and trouble Nobita. They all are great friends. Though Gian bullies everyone, he troubles Nobita the most. But deep inside, Nobita and Gian are great friends, but they deny to admit it and never act like good friends. But whenever Nobita is in trouble, Gian is always there to save him. There's another boy, Dekisuge, the know-it-all, whom Nobita is jealous of, but still is his friend.

it is. And Gian's real name is Takeshi Goda. Nobody knows that because in the anime, they all call him Gian. I saw an episode where Gian was appearing for a Science Olympiad in English (usually its in Japanese) and he wrote his name there.
